ওড়িশায় যে স্টেশনের কাছে তিনটি ট্রেনের দুর্ঘটনা ঘটেছিল গত শুক্রবার, সেই স্টেশনে রেল লাইনে মেরামতির কাজ চলবে। সেই কারণে ৮ জুন শুক্রবার দক্ষিণ পূর্ব রেলের বহু এক্সপ্রেস ও মেল ট্রেন বাতিল। রেলের তরফে জানানো হয়েছে, ২৪টি মেল ও এক্সপ্রেস ট্রেন বাতিল করা হয়েছে বৃহস্পতিবার। এছাড়াও কয়েকটি ট্রেনের যাত্রাপথ আগেই শেষ করা হবে।
বুধবার দক্ষিণ পূর্ব রেলের তরফে জানানো হয়েছে, খড়গপুর ডিভিশনের খড়গপুর-ভদ্রক সেকশনের বাহানাগা বাজার স্টেশনে ট্র্যাক রক্ষণাবেক্ষণের কাজের কারণে ৮ জুন তারিখে নিম্নলিখিত ট্রেনগুলি নিয়ন্ত্রিত হবে।

এদিকে, আজ বুধবার বালেশ্বরে ট্রেন দুর্ঘটনার পর প্রথমবার তামিলনাড়ুর চেন্নাইয়ের উদ্দেশে শালিমার থেকে যাত্রা শুরু করল করমণ্ডল এক্সপ্রেস। বুধবার শালিমার থেকে ছাড়ে করমণ্ডল এক্সপ্রেস। গত ২ জুন ওড়িশার বালেশ্বরে ভয়ানক দুর্ঘটনার কবলে পড়ে করমণ্ডল এক্সপ্রেস, যশবন্তপুর এক্সপ্রেস। ওই ট্রেন দুর্ঘটনায় এখনও পর্যন্ত ২৮ জনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে বলে জানিয়েছে রেল।
