Sri Lanka vs New Zealand , 2nd ODI at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Kandy , NZ in SL, 3 ODIs, 2024 , Nov 17, 2024 Scorecard

45.1: Maheesh Theekshana to Mitchell Hay, OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Maheesh Theekshana wraps things up and Mitchell Hay has been dismissed on 49. Flatter, full and around off, Hay goes down for the reverse sweep but misses as the ball passes very close to the bat and his gloves. There is a huge appeal by the Lankans and they look confident as there is a small noise. However, the umpire says no. Charith Asalanka takes the review, UtraEdge shows a spike when the ball is close to the gloves and the on-field call is overturned. To be fair, even before the decision came on the big screen, Hay started to walk back, and only the umpire was on the field to raise his finger. New Zealand have been bowled out for 209!

44.6: Asitha Fernando to Jacob Duffy, Back of a length and on middle, Jacob Duffy stays back and pats it down the pitch.

44.5: Asitha Fernando to Jacob Duffy, An excellent yorker, on middle, Jacob Duffy just about manages to dig it out.

44.1: Asitha Fernando to Mitchell Hay, Fuller in length and just around leg, Mitchell Hay goes down across to scoop it away but fails to connect. It is not called a wide. However, it looks like Hay is suffering from a bit of cramps and the physio is in to check on him.
